Two former commercial units in the heart of Bloomsbury, brought together as one home for a couple returning to London after decades abroad. They have lived all over the world — and this house needed to hold all those lives.

Three ideas guided every decision: Unfolding — spaces discovered in moments, a home that moves as the family does. Timefull — materials that record life rather than resist it. Bright Spirited — warm, easy, never precious.

Natural materials and carefully curated vintage pieces run throughout — things that have already lived somewhere, already earned their patina. Bespoke shelving was designed to house a collection of artifacts and books gathered across decades of living abroad, so the home holds not just the family but the life they've built.

One leaning Mid Century, the other towards Arts and Crafts — and rather than choosing one over the other, the two sensibilities meet somewhere entirely new. The house is deliberately inverted, living spaces upstairs where the light is best, an inner courtyard pulling daylight into the heart of the building.
